Blake
Just about everyone thinks Blake is a little crazy, but he doesn’t care. He’s too busy getting other kids saved, healed, and delivered — and that’s fine with him. He believes that every word in the Bible is true, and that he should be doing exactly what it says. So he does.
Chaos Agents
The lust of the eye has been a problem for mankind ever since Eve saw the apple. First John 2:16 tells us, “For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father, but is of the world.” All three of those sins depend on the eye! You see something you want, then you go after it at any cost, and then you’re proud because you have it. That kind of lust and pride will cause chaos in your life.
That’s why Chaos Agents are all eye — with a big hook to pull you into your lust and the green flame of envy to consume you. These guys are called in when the lesser attacks fail. It’s a serious attack. The lust of the eye has led many people to their death.

Davy
There is always that kid — the one your mom tells you to stay away from. The problem is, he won’t stay away from you, and he’s just a lot of fun to be around. That’s Davy. He’s a keto-vegetarian who loves pepperoni pizza. He claims to be a Hindu, a Buddhist, an agnostic, and, every now and then, a Christian.
Davy’s mom owns a new-age shop, so he’s heard about many religions, but he doesn’t know much about any of them. As a result, Davy becomes a constant distraction to Zack’s Christian faith walk.
Demons
When the mission needs muscle, demons get called in. Don’t let their looks fool you — these big, furry peanuts are strong big, furry peanuts. They’re always grouchy and always hungry for fear and pain. That makes demons the perfect tool for the enemy and very effective backup for any sin squad that encounters too much resistance. Much of that resistance comes from guardian angels, so expect to see a lot of these guys.

Emet
I’m pronouncing Emet like the name Emmett. In Hebrew, “Emet” means truth — a word used throughout the Bible to describe God’s character, faithfulness, and reliability. It’s a fitting name for Blake’s guardian angel, because his entire mission is rooted in protecting Blake with God’s truth.
Emet has his work cut out for him. He’ll be encountering all kinds of unfair attacks from the enemy that are directed at Blake. He’ll be just as busy as Ganan — but for very different reasons.
Endora
Endi is short for Endora. She was named after the Witch of Endor, a real figure mentioned in 1 Samuel 28:7, where King Saul consults a medium instead of turning to God. Endi’s mom is a practicing witch, and Endi is following in her mother’s footsteps. She already considers herself a witch, although she’s really only an apprentice — still, not a great start for any kid.
Endi complicates Zack’s life when she moves across the street from him and he develops a pretty big crush on her. Not to mention the added problems Ganan faces, now having to deal with Kaz far more than he’d like.

Foul Spirits Squad
These guys make up the devil’s army. They have rank, structure, and communication. They are all business — and their business is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).
Each team is given a target and a mission. The foul-spirit squad may also enlist the help of other minions of the devil. Whether it’s demons, imps, or tares, the enemy will use whatever it takes and will stop at nothing to create as much destruction in their target’s life as possible.
And there’s a special reason these foul spirits hide their faces behind mummy bandages. But that’s a surprise for later.
Ganan
Guardian angels have been the topic of debate for centuries — and if anyone ever needed one, it would be Zack! The phrase “their angels in Heaven” from Matthew 18:10 refers to assigned or guardian angels, which is exactly the role Ganan fills.
In this story, everyone sees Ganan as a dog except for Zack. This nods to Hebrews 13:2, which talks about unknowingly entertaining angels in disguise. And of course, the Bible already gives us an example of a talking animal in Numbers 22:28, so the idea fits perfectly within that spiritual framework.
Ganan’s name comes from the Hebrew word ganan, meaning to defend, protect, or guard — the perfect definition of what a guardian angel does. His mission is to guide Zack, keep him pointed in the right direction, and defend him against the enemy’s attacks.
It’s a full-time job, but Ganan is more than equipped for it.

Zack
You know those Christians who have been on fire for God and making good decisions from the moment they were baptized? They read their Bible every day and have an awesome prayer life. Well, that is NOT Zack!
Zack learns not to touch a hot stove by touching it, and if his friends jumped off a bridge… he just might jump too. Zack is a “good” kid. He has strong Christian friends, but he also has friends like the ones the book of Proverbs warns you not to hang around.
Which is why Ganan, Zack’s guardian angel, is exhausted most of the time. It’s also why you can learn a lot from all the mistakes Zack makes.
Holy Spirit
Okay, I know this is long, but the Holy Spirit is VERY important. He does a lot, and I really want you to know that. He can talk to you through your Bible reading, or He can whisper to you just like demons can. Demons would love it if you thought they were the Holy Spirit. The difference is that the Holy Spirit gives good and true messages, while demons give bad and sinful messages. The key is to pray and read your Bible enough to know the Holy Spirit. If you know Him, you will know His voice.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. The Trinity is God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
• The Holy Spirit was with God during creation.
Genesis 1:2 (ESV) says, “The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, was hovering over the face of the waters.”
• The Holy Spirit explained to prophets what God was telling them, and He guided the men who wrote the Bible.
2 Peter 1:21 (ESV) says, “For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
• The Holy Spirit shows you your sin, and by doing that, He shows you your need to be saved. Then He leads you to repentance, because that is what you must do to be saved.
John 16:8 says, “And when He, the Holy Spirit, comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”
• The Holy Spirit turns sinners into believers. You have heard of being born again. The Holy Spirit does that.
John 3:6 (ESV) says, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

Nate
The name Nate comes from the Hebrew names Nathan and Nathaniel, which mean “God has given” or “gift from God.” It’s a fitting name for a guardian angel—someone given by God to watch over and protect.
Nate is the guardian angel assigned to Miles. You would think that guarding a preacher’s kid would be an easy job, but that’s definitely not the case with Miles. The devil hates all preachers, and if he can hurt them by attacking their children, he will. So the next time you hear about a preacher’s kid getting out of line, try praying for them instead of criticizing them.
That would make God happy—and Nate, their guardian angel, would definitely appreciate the help!
Miles
Miles is a preacher’s kid. These kids often get a bad reputation for being rebellious, but that’s not always true. Many “P.K.s” stay faithful—and Miles is one of them.
He’s solid, grounded in the Bible, and a traditional Christian, just like his father. He’s a loyal friend to Zack, and Zack would be far worse off without Miles in his life.

I.B.A.T.S.
If the spirit squads are special forces, then the I.B.A.T.S. are special special forces. These guys are nasty. No attack is too hurtful, and no victim is ever 100 percent safe. Whether it is name calling, making fun, or outright bullying, I.B.A.T.S. love to hate and they will not stop until their victim is crushed. Crushed in mind, soul, and spirit. If you have ever had a bad experience on social media, these guys were probably behind it.
Imps
Imps are definitely the least intelligent of the devil’s minions, and no one wants to work with them. They are handy when a really dirty job comes up or when large numbers of minions are needed to get the win. Otherwise, everyone stays away from them because they are just mean. They are ugly and they stink, a lot!!

Kazab (Kaz)
“Kaz” is Endie’s guardian fallen angel. I know, it is a lot. First guardian angels, and now a guardian fallen angel, but it is important to know. It seems like quite a leap, but Satan counterfeits everything God does. So if God has guardian angels of light, it stands to reason that Satan would have guardian angels of darkness.
To complicate things, Kaz and Ganan were friends until Kaz chose to rebel with Satan. Ganan had not seen Kaz since the fall. That is until Endie moved into the house across the street from Zack.
Like Ganan, no one sees Kaz as an angel. He appears as a big, evil looking cat. Unlike Ganan, Endie does not know Kaz is an angel. She thinks he is her spirit guide inhabiting her pet cat. Kaz does not care what Endie thinks he is, as long as he takes her to hell, along with as many others as her witchcraft can bring with her.
Papa
Papa is the Grandpa that I wish I was. He has been there and done that. Up hill both ways, in the snow, and barefoot. But now he gets all his answers from his Bible. All the authority he will ever need has already been provided by Jesus. He knows that.
So as Papa helps Zack work through his daily problems, he might just be helping you work through one of yours too.

Panic
This guy takes advantage of both the unsaved and Christians alike. When a Christian enjoys the things of the world more than the things of God, the Bible says they are “carnally minded” or “in the flesh.” Basically, your soul man is in charge. Your spirit man cannot be controlled. However, your soul man is a sitting duck and is unprotected from attack if the spirit is weak.
When this guy wraps himself around your soul, you can feel smothered, out of control, powerless, beaten down, and panicked. The only way to beat him is to know the authority you have been given by Jesus. Then you must use it to fight back. The only way to know about your authority is to read your Bible, over and over again, until it sinks in.
Otherwise, “PANIC” will attack, and you will lose everything.
Tares
In Matthew 13:24–30, there is a parable about a farmer who planted wheat. While the farmer slept, his enemy planted tares in the wheat field. Tares look like wheat while they are growing, sharing the same field and soil, but they slowly drain nutrients and hinder healthy growth. The difference is not obvious until the harvest.
That is exactly what false Christians do in the church. They do not always stand out, but they weaken real Christians and reduce the harvest of souls. Growing alongside the faithful, they quietly exhaust the body of believers and damage the church from within.
Tares literally suck the life out of Christians specifically and the church as a whole. That is why I chose a giant vampire bat to represent the Tare spirit. The Tare spirit does not fight head on. It takes believers out of the fight through exhaustion, distraction, and depression.

Just about everyone thinks Blake is a little crazy, but he doesn’t care. He’s too busy getting other kids saved, healed, and delivered — and that’s fine with him. He believes that every word in the Bible is true, and that he should be doing exactly what it says. So he does.
